On 14.01.2004, during a historic operation on the orders of Sh. Ashu Jain, Competent Authority & Administrator, SAFEMA(FOP) A, 1976 and NDPS 1985, Lucknow the officers of Competent Authority & Administrator, Lucknow took over physical possession of the immovable properties of the narcotic drug smugglers namely, S/Shri Juber and Irshad, comprising a double storeyed pucca house and a 1.426 hectares agricultural land totally valued at Rs. 13 lac situated in village Khijna, District Barabanki. The immovable properties were taken physical possession of by this office with the active co-operation, support and assistance of the officers and staff of Deputy Narcotics Commissioner, Lucknow and Revenue & Police officers of Tehsil Fatehpur (Distt. Barabanki). This operation of taking over physical possession of such immovable properties that had been acquired by narcotic drug smugglers from illicit drug trafficking and had been duly forfeited, was carried out for the first time in the history of Uttar Pradesh.
